Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 01 May 2025, 04:52

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 27°. 8-)

It's Dia de Trabajadora so a national holiday. :cute:

I got a message from Inma yesterday asking if we'd like to go over and join her and Jacob for breakfast. :D :D

She's normally at work for our usual breakfast dates so this will be lovely she's going to be there. :cute:

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

God morning Ally and anybody elsewho is up.

It is 17C and the sun is out. Forecast to get upto 26C today again.
So will be outside. I will wash the car, and trime the edge of the lawn. I do this manually so it will take some time.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning, but the breeze is chilly still.

Holiday here too :D

Off to Ourique to do the normal shopping, back for a coffee and chat, then here fore breakfast.

I would like to get some more strimming done and I have three plants to put in the garden, bought yesterday. Never been to Vila Nova da Milfontes before, a stunning place, right on the Atlantic.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Good morning everyone

Ally, enjoy the breakfast; lovely than Inma can be there for it x
Cruiser, enjoy being outside
Jan, hope you get everything done you want to

Early start for me - Sainsbury's at 7am; much bigger shop than usual because I needed to get bits in for Ethan (a friend of Amelia's) who will be staying at mine the next few days whilst I'm in Germany. Seriously prepping to go away is always such a nightmare because of the pets; I wonder why I do it to myself

Off to the vet in a minute with one of my chickens; she's not doing well so sadly it's going to be sending her over to chicken heaven. Then a busy day work and sort house; nail appointment this evening and need to water the allotment. Oh and pack

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s another sunny one.

Had a brisk walk with George at 7
It’s John’s birthday today so dinner tonight will be barbecued, Tom’s coming over after work to join us.

I’ve got the Tesco order to do, but for once (unless Joe informs me otherwise) we have a day of no deliveries, although I’ve already had a notification that Joe’s quarterly contact lens package will be delivered tomorrow. I think Specsavers still must have my email on record from when he was younger so I still get all notifications.

Sorry to read about your chicken, Ria :(

Have a good day all :)

Well, I'm back home, and so is Sophie :D The vet couldn't feel anything untoward and (and I hang my head in shame) suspects she may just have quite worm burden that is affecting her. I was meant to worm them in December and didn't (they're meant to be wormed 3x a year) so they are way overdue.

So she had a worming injection, and I've been given stuff for the other chickens and now it's a case of wait and see if she improves - fingers crossed.

Morning all, another lovely day. Edward has been out leakproofing the terrace again, it’s a special paint that needs a run of dry weather for several applications of the paint. I have sheets on the line and a jeans wash in the machine. We’ll practice a couple of dances this morning, and I need to go out to get some money plus make a nail appointment for Saturday. Kellie will be here this afternoon. Might do some ironing.

Good orning.
Waiting for baby Ethan to be dropped off.
A lovely day here.
Due to the pigeons I need to get the car washed.
Other than that, not much doing.

Morning all :D

Jo Happy Birthday to John.

It was nice to come back to sunshine, got home just after 10am yesterday morning, earlier than expected. Decided to unpack before doing anything else and finally sat down around 12.30. Had a light lunch, waded through 6 weeks worth of mail and managed a couple of loads in the washing machine, but must admit I was totally cream crackered. Hung on till 10pm last night, but tbh we should have gone to bed even earlier, we were both dozing all evening. I woke up at 6.45 this morning, went to the loo (Ed didn't stir!!) and then got back into bed, didn't get up till nearly 10. Well and truly back to normal, we were getting up at 7am over there. It's only 7.10am in Barbados now, oh how I miss it already.........

More washing on the go, loads to do. We did have a washing machine in the apartment, but the heating element didn't work so everything was done in cold water, it all needs a proper wash now. We had a good look round while we were there and we're already booked for next year. All being well, no sudden health problems etc, we'll be back over there to celebrate my 80th birthday :D :D :D

The food over there is so amazing and I ate loads, but I've only put 4lbs on, goodness knows how, I was sure I'd eaten like a horse. Ed definitely did, but he's stayed the same weight, no justice there :o

Washing, online banking (a hefty credit card to pay off) and a Tesco delivery this afternoon, oh the joys of being back home.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all :)

Ally for once we have the same temperatures  Hope you enjoyed your breakfast with J and I :) xx

Nice day for the garden, Cruiser, but take care in the heat xx

That place sounds lovely Jan 8-) xx

So glad your chicken is ok, Ria. Sadly my friend Emma's daughter's chickens were killed by a fox last week :( I know it's nature, but it's upsetting when they're pets :? xx

Early or very late on for Daisy's walks too Jo xx

Perfect weather for painting, Osc :) xx

We get seagulls "christening" ours, Crommers!  xx

Glad to see you're home safe and sound after your lovely holiday, Jen. The unpacking and washing is definitely the worse bit about holidays! Our friends rebooted Barbados while they were still out there :D xx

Scorching hot here - lovely! :D Tesco this morning, now putting our feet up until it cools down a tad - Mick has a lawn to mow, and I have ironing :P Thinking about giving Pilates a swerve tonight, that church hall has no air con......

Love to all xxx
