Gal - I recall you saying how much you like Alnwick so I was really interested in a magazine article I've just read that was describing the Station Buffett at Barter Books.
It was saying it's one of the largest and finest book shops in Great Britain.

It sounds really interesting being housed in a former Victorian railway station and I just wondered if you've been there.

Hi Ally yes we went the other week, I could easily have spent a day there browsing (Tom isn't a reader and was getting bored so we only stayed an hour or so). It's the ost fascinating place I can remember going to, it's like a Tardis, goes on and on and on, just when you think there is no more to see There are lots of seating areas where you can sit and read, coffee makers etc, and a big toy train track is coasting along above your head As for the books!!! I'd hazard a guess at around a million.....

Yep that just about describes it

The only 'complaint' I have is that you get a crick in your neck from looking along the spines of the books to check the titles etc
