Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 29°. 8-)

We're going to a funeral at noon today over in Mijas.
It's an English chap Don used to play badminton with.
Dan was only 44 and had a heart attack last week.
I only met him a couple of times but Don asked me to accompany him.
We'll set off around 10.30.

Afterwards we'll come back to our town and have lunch at Gambrinus.

Watching a film on Netflix tonight.

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and anybody lse who is up.
It is getting warmer. Nearly 16c when I got up. The sun is out so summer is on its way.

Will be gardening again this morning, finishing the weeding. Will have to buy some more bedding plants. I want some Ice Plants but they did not have any when
I went to the nursery last week. Was told it was too early.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning everyone

A blowy morning, but the sun is out.

So young Ally. Hope it goes as well as it can xx

This morning, I've been digging up the weeds that look pretty, but when they're grown up, are a pain to strim. You can't, the stems are so thick. Having a rest - my back was telling me  , breakfast, then back at it.

Will pop down to the bar later, books for Tina and Steve said he would be there too. He's having PET scan on Friday - in Seville

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it seems to be brightening up after a dull start.

John’s at Parkrun and Joe and Jade are still upstairs. Their plan is to go for a walk later, not sure what we’re doing but one of the nephews is calling in this afternoon. He’d planned to bring his dog to see how he and George got on. Months ago Dom asked if we’d look after Paul (!) when they go on holiday at the end of May. No idea why no one from his or his Chelsea’s families near them in Wales could look after him, I know mother in law always used to have him when they went away, but he messaged John yesterday and said that they’ve had to cancel for some reason but he’ll still visit today. I think he’s going over to see Tom too.

Probably watch the FA Cup semi final this evening.

Jan, I’ll send George over to dig up your weeds. Let’s just say that my plan to put in some bedding plants isn’t going to happen

Al, that’s so sad. Hope all goes as well as it can x

Love to all x

Morning all, we’re up and watching the Pope’s funeral - not for the religion part but for the historical occasion. It’s a beautiful day in Rome. We’re remembering our visit there many years ago, when we climbed up through the dome of St Peter’s to the very top, spectacular views as you can imagine. Pope Francis does seem to have been very much a man of the people, humble, lived as simple a life as he could, and appeared to be rather jolly. It’s a bit depressing to see all the assembled clergy is composed of mostly old men and no women.

We’ll shower when this is over and have no plan for the day, it’s fairly dull and dreary outside. I feel as if I might be getting a cold so will take things easy. We had fun dancing last night, all our work on a new dance was worth it as we only needed minor adjustments when dancing it.

Afternoon everyone :) xx

Ally, that's very sad :( xx

It does seem to be warming up, Cruiser :) xx

That's a long way to go for your friend, Jan  xx

Oh dear Jo!. Pepper used to dig up plants, she was a monkey for it  xx

Yes, I get that, Osc - It's the history and pageantry that's fascinating 8-) xx

Jen 8-) 8-) xx

It's brightened up nicely here this afternoon. We met Em and Dave at Dobbies garden centre in Tewksbury - only takes 15 minutes up the motorway :) We needed some.geraniums, and also bought a new tree, an acer. Em and Dave wanted sun loungers for their garden, and found the ones they wanted, but.had to order them for delivery.

The only way we could fit the tree in the car was if I came home in Em's, so they dropped me off at D's and Mick joined me there after he'd unloaded. B took Daisy to Cheltenham, on the bus, to meet friends.

The plants are in, and I've made a bolognese sauce for dinner :)

Love to all :) xx
